Once Upon a Time In Grey Lynn. Episode 1

It’s the last day of fourth form and four best friends are on their way to their first ever concert. Stan’s amping to see local reggae band Herbs, Michael’s dressed like his hero - the drummer from DD Smash, Sefa’s stolen four bottles of beer, and Albert’s scared that they’re gonna get drunk… but when he accidentally biffs a bottle into the booze-fueled crowd at Aotea Square, the outcome is way worse than that. The boys take off to Myers Park where Sefa busts out some impromptu bopping in a bid to impress the girl of his dreams – then Bolo the Goth turns up to tell them Albert’s accidental throw has started one of the biggest riots Auckland has ever seen! The pals head home, denying all knowledge to suspicious siblings, worried parents, and the local law, but a headline in Sunday’s paper, blaming ‘drunk Polynesian schoolboys’ for kicking off the carnage, sees them scrambling for alibis, co-opting conspirators, and sharing secrets which will change their lives forever.
